Working at the San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health Department gives me the opportunity to re-vamp their presence through design. In the past, Behavioral Health mostly posted plain, formal graphics that did not appeal to the audience.
My team and I created a holiday guide which teaches people how to manage and overcome stress, grief, and substance abuse during the holidays. I created the layout in Canva and designed some of the graphics in Adobe Illustrator. For these projects, we wanted to use more muted colors, make the design light and airy, and use holiday-theme fonts.

To promote the Holiday Guide, I created a series of Instagram and Facebook posts that give a bit of a preview into some of the content as well as three posters that include a QR code to access the guide and were placed in other SLO County clinic offices. These were all made in Adobe Illustrator and Canva.
My goal is to create graphics that people will be more inclined to save or share with others. The Central Coast of California's news channel, KSBY, used my graphic in their SLO County offers free mental health resources to fight the “holiday blues” about fighting the "holiday blues".
